C.O.P.S. Announces Partnership with Cordico
September 10, 2020 – Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) is proud to announce a new partnership with Cordico, the world leader in proprietary wellness apps for first responders. Cordico apps provide instant access to chaplains, peer support groups, anonymous self-assessments, trauma and critical incident support, resilience development training, fitness and nutrition, and much more.
C.O.P.S. will assist Cordico in developing quick reference resources to help agencies prepare their officers for critical incidents, as well as information directing individuals to retreats for surviving co-workers, connecting with surviving family members, recognizing grief complications, and other vital tools to keep first responders physically and mentally healthy.
“The Cordico app has been a highly discussed topic for the past few months and we are so excited to offer over three decades of research and proven processes designed by C.O.P.S.,” says Dianne Bernhard, C.O.P.S. Executive Director. “Although it can be difficult to discuss, being prepared for a critical incident can be the positive force to not only effectively serve the surviving family members, but the entire agency. How you act immediately holds an impact even years after the incident. Thank you to Cordico for helping us disseminate this information to first responders everywhere and letting them know it’s ok to reach out for help.”
C.O.P.S. will be featured as a core menu item titled “Preparing for Critical Incidents”. Further information will also be listed under “Additional Resources”. For information on how to obtain this confidential app for your agency, please visit cordico.com.
