Congratulations to the 2020 National Officer Safety and Wellness Award Winners
Cordico is very proud to work with two of the four winners of the 2020 National Officer Safety and Wellness Awards: Vacaville Police Department and Memphis Police Department.
Please join us in honoring and congratulating all of the distinguished winners of the 2020 National Officer Safety and Wellness Awards. Out of approximately 18,000 law enforcement agencies in the United States, only four are chosen each year to win the National Officer Safety and Wellness Awards. The odds of any agency being selected for one of these awards are less than 0.0003 percent.
The Vacaville Police Department is the first law enforcement agency to have launched a customized CordicoShield Wellness App, in early 2018. Chief Carli described his bold vision for officer wellness and implementation of the Cordico app in an article entitled Officer Wellness in the New Era of Policing published in the Spring 2019 issue of California Police Chief Magazine. The Destination Zero Award noted that Chief Carli, who worked his way up through the ranks to become Chief in 2014, “has always been dedicated to officer safety and is constantly seeking new and innovative programs and equipment to keep his officers safe.”
The Memphis Police Department is the first major city police department to have launched a customized CordicoShield Wellness App. The Memphis Police Department has shown strong officer wellness leadership, and Destination Zero noted that, “In response to a high level of dangerous driving by both police officers and the public, Memphis PD employs a multi-facet approach to support traffic safety to both its officers and the community.” You can learn more about the MPD at www.joinmpd.com.
